On a recent walk around Greenlake, I was dismayed to see a discarded white plastic spoon resting on the lake bottom ( Less than 6 feet from shore and at a depth of no more than 3.7 feet). One can only speculate the half-life of such trash, but there is also the hope that this monumental afront to nature will gradually disappear into the lake sediment.
